What Is ADAS, And Why Does It Matter?
As vehicle technology rapidly advances, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) have become essential safety components in nearly every modern vehicle. These systems — including lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and blind spot monitoring — reduce accidents, protect lives, and improve road safety outcomes.
According to the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), properly functioning ADAS technology significantly reduces the severity and frequency of roadway incidents. These systems, however, require precise calibrations using OEM procedures following any collision, windshield replacement, suspension work, or structural repair.
